2026 NORTH OF ENGLAND CROSS COUNTRY RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Incorporating the Cutler's Relay & South Yorkshire Cross Country Relay Championships

11.00 Under 18 Women 3 x 2300 metres.- aged 16/17 on 31st August/1st September 2027

11.05 Under 18 Men 3 x 2300 metres - aged 16/17 on 31st August/1st September 2027

11.35 Under 12 Girls 3 x 1500 metres - aged 10 & 11 on 31st August/1st September 2027

11.40 Under 12 Boys 3 x 1500 metres - aged 10 & 11 on 31st August/1st September 2027

12.05 Under 14 Girls 3 x 1800 metres - aged 12/13 on 31st August/1st September 2027

12.10 Under 14 Boys 3 x 1800 metres - aged 12/13 on 31st August/1st September 2027

12.40 Under 16 Girls 3 x 2000 metres - aged 14/15 on 31st August/1st September 2027

12.45 Under 16 Boys 3 x 2000 metres - aged 14/15 on 31st August/1st September 2027

13.10 Senior Women - 3 x 2 miles - 18 and over on 31st August/1st September 2027

14.05 Senior Men (The Cutler's Relay) - 4 x 2 miles - 18 and over on 31st August/1st September 2027

Note - the U12 races are not a Northern Championship event, but are South Yorkshire Championship events.

CLUB COLOURS & VEST/CROP TOP ALL OF THE SAME DESIGN MUST BE WORN

Prizes & Awards

Northern Championships

Medals will be awarded to the first three A teams to finish in each age group excluding U12 age group (the U12 races are non-championship events - awards will be made to the first three U12 teams). If a club finishes more than one team then the team finishing highest is declared to be their 'A' Team and the other their 'B' Team.  Bronze Medals will be awarded to the first ‘B’ team to finish.  Fastest lap medals will be awarded for all championship races.

South Yorkshire Championships

Championship medals will be awarded to the first three teams to finish (male & female) in each age group (minimum of four teams per age group) entered in the South Yorkshire Championships

Entries from clubs will only be accepted if the club is currently affiliated to BOTH Northern Athletics and England Athletics.Team members MUST be first claim members of that club only (incl. U12) AND registered with England Athletics.  

Any foreign athletes in the team MUST be currently registered with UKA as foreign athletes.  All team and athlete affiliation will be verfied prior to the event.  A club can enter as many foreign athletes as they want but only 2 may run in each declared team.

Clubs may submit a maximum of 9 names per Team (3 stage races) or 12 names per Team (4 stage races), There is no restriction as to the number of teams a club may enter.

Closing date for entries 11th October 2026

Eligible Athletes must be declared by 12th October 2026

Team declarations and changes must be done ONLY on line by team managers

Team declarations and changes are allowed up to 12.00 on the day of the race online ONLY via the personalised link which will be sent to team managers when they register their team

All Northern Athletics clubs affiliated to England Athletics are eligible to enter the 2026 ECCA National Relay Championships regardless of affiliation to NA

THERE WILL BE NO FACILITIES FOR TEAM DECLARATIONS OR TEAM CHANGES AT REGISTRATION.

Entry Fees - £36 per Senior Men's team, £27 per Senior Women's team, £24 per Young Athlete's Team
